About Parker-IT

Hi, I'm James Parker Jr.

I started Parker-IT because I believe everyone deserves honest, reliable tech help without the runaround or the inflated bill.

How Parker-IT came to be.

In 2019, COVID hit. We all know how crazy of a time that was. I worked for Food Lion (and to Food Lion's credit, that place was home and those people are my family) at the time, and got to witness firsthand how broken we could be in a panic. I promptly left, not only for fear of getting myself or my family sick, but to pursue something I enjoyed. If you were to ask me what I enjoyed, I would be hard pressed to give you an answer that felt worthwhile. The only thing I think I've ever truly enjoyed was the vast world of video gaming. This spurred on a search for similar interests, and consequently helped me find my love for all things tech. In 2019 I enrolled in CompTIA A+ test prep courses with Cape Fear Community College. I went through the three extensive courses covering everything Tier 1 IT Support related. I was then approached by my previous boss, whom signed me on to be his technician. For roughly 6 combined years, I helped maintain 10 businesses IT infrastructure with support in multiple systems related to Business IT. Everything from the most basic of PC issues to complex issues regarding networks with multiple moving parts and ever shifting devices. In that time I also serviced at least 30+ clients on a per need basis, both business and residential. I owe everything I am becoming to my previous boss and company. I was taken from a tech who knew only what the books showed me, to a tech with 6 years of hands on experience in a field that I enjoy while helping people in need. This year (2026) I made the decision to go solo, and push to grow my own company with the knowledge I have gathered and the wisdom instilled in me by someone I consider to be a great man, mentor, and friend.

What I stand for

Honesty first

I'll tell you what's actually wrong and what it'll actually cost. No surprise fee's, no wasting your time, and always honesty first.

Respect for your time

I show up when I say I will. I make sure to let you know ahead of time if something changes, not later.

Plain English, always

Tech can be confusing. I make it simple. You'll always know what I did, why I did it, and what it means for you going forward.

Fair pricing

My rates are set to be accessible to all clients. You pay for the work, and for parts at cost, nothing more.

Let's get your tech sorted.
